We bring together people who are interested in the history of the
Granite Falls area. We display and teach that
history in a manner that fosters better understanding of our city,
county, and region, and helps to encourage appreciation of our heritage.
We preserve and interpret material that establishes or illustrates the history of the area. Media include audio and video tapes, paper, microfilm, and computerized archives. We make all this material available, to the greatest extent possible, to all who wish to examine or study it. We disseminate historical information through a variety of methods, including displays, museum openings, programs, lectures, and internet access, in order to awaken public interest, and to serve as one link in a network of heritage resources.
